Billing and Insurance
Most Insurances are Accepted
Beacon Dermatology participates with most insurance plans. We will submit all claims to your insurance company. Expenses not covered include: cosmetic procedures, deductibles, co-insurance, co-pay amounts and occasionally office visits. Please contact your insurance provider prior to your appointment to verify that you are eligible for medical services or if you require an authorized referral for a dermatologist appointment. Please contact Beacon Dermatology, if you need further assistance or have questions regarding your insurance coverage.
Please note: We do our best to provide details or coverage estimates prior to procedures with the insurance data available. Unfortunately, only your insurance plan may determine your actual coverage due to your deductible coverage, co-insurance, provider network & plan specifics.
Please review your health insurance plan and contact your insurance carrier if you are unsure of your coverage or have any concerns about services they may or may not cover. This includes lab or other special testing.
If your plan has a co-pay, you are required to pay this at the time of your appointment. Please contact our office if you have specific questions or concerns about your insurance and/or billing, (828) 412-0688.
Thank you for choosing Beacon Dermatology for your dermatological care.
Insurance Deductibles
Most insurance plans have deductibles that apply for surgical procedures. Patients are usually required to pay their deductible prior to their surgical procedure. Please be prepared to pay your deductible at the time of check-in. Wart removal, injections and destruction of lesions are considered surgical procedures by insurance carriers and deductibles can apply.
Insurance Co-Pays
Most insurance plans require patients to make a co-payment at the time of their visit. All co-pays will be collected at the time of check-in. Please be prepared to pay your co-pay upon check-in for your scheduled appointment.
Payment Forms Accepted
Beacon Dermatology makes every effort to make each patient’s visit as easy and time efficient as possible. Beacon Dermatology accepts many forms of payment including cash, checks, as well as VISA, Master Card, Discover Card and American Express.
We kindly ask that you bring your insurance card(s) and co-payments with you to all office visits.
Lab Tests and Fees
Depending on your insurance plan and medical condition, lab test fees may or may not be covered. Be sure to get the facts about lab test coverage from your insurance carrier.
